Svetlana- Longing for an extinct House, is a book submitted as the final project for my bachelor's degree at Minshar art school, Tel Aviv. The project was inspired from my personal connection with my grandmother and is based on personal interviews i’ve conducted with her and my personal impression from her growing up under the shadow of her unique character. The book includes personal statements and quotations of her individual superstitions, which I found fascinating since I was a child. Format: The concept of my book was portraying a timeline-based story of her life in Tashkent until her immigration to Israel by the medium itself- using a continuous 6 meter length format. The composition can be seen by a single page, or to either be opened and seen as a long spread.
